Relax with your friends in the idyllic surroundings of Dunstable Downs before experiencing the thrill of flying.
Groups of 10 or more people can book introductory flights on summer weekday evenings - usually Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday - starting at 6pm. Up to 20 people can fly, with capacity increasing to as many as 30 during peak summer when the days are at their longest.
For just £80 each, you can enjoy an aerotow launch with a flight time of up to 20 minutes, or choose an exhilarating winch launch for £32, providing 5-10 minutes in the air. First-timers generally prefer the aerotow launch as it offers a gentle and graceful way to take to the skies. Thrill-seekers, however, tend to favour the winch launch, which accelerates gliders from 0 to 60 mph in around 3–4 seconds!
For group bookings, all participants must choose the same launch type in advance, meaning the group will either fly using aerotow launches or winch launches.
In addition to prospective student pilots, we also welcome friends and family who simply wish to come along and spectate.
