This is the ideal way to start learning to fly and to really understand what it means to be an active member of our Club.

As well as beginning your flying instruction, from day one you can expect to be actively involved in the workings of the club, including helping to get the aircraft out in the morning, ground handling and helping at the launch point. We will introduce you to other members and help you settle in. Of course you will be very welcome to join in all the social events and other activities at the club – you will be a ‘full’ member for the duration.

Like every other member, you will have a unique membership number and a flying account, from which all your flying is paid at current club rates. Included in the price is £200 credited to your flying account which is a great way to help get you flying. It can be used for aerotow or winch instruction at any time during your membership. Once these funds are exhausted you can always top it up! At the end of the period we would love to welcome you as a permanent member.

On your first day you will receive our New Members Pack, including your personal flight logbook, progress, ground operations training cards as well as detailed information about the club. The office staff, our instructors and other members will make you most welcome and help you to become as confident and enthusiastic as they are!

The process starts with the purchase of a voucher, valid for one year from the date of purchase. The three months membership commences on the day of your first training flight with us. The voucher pack explains how to schedule your first day. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the club.

We suggest you arrange your first visit with the office and we will arrange your instructor. Thereafter weekend ‘slots’ can be booked using our members’ on-line system, or on weekdays it is much more flexible, just turn up and join the list.

Some members devote the whole day, others do half a day – either arrive for breakfast, attend the 8:30 briefing help get the ‘kit’ out and spend the morning on the airfield. Or arrive for lunch ahead of the afternoon flying and help pack everything away at the end of the day.
