Synopsis: Low pressure to the north of Scotland with occluded fronts North Sea and Western Scotland and Eastern Ireland at midday.

Significant weather: Upper cloud and overdevelopment/scattered light showers clearing at lunchtime to leave a thermic airmass with convection to 4500 feet. Best area northwards to Grantham and westwards to the Cotswold Edge.

Temperature 21 C

Dewpoint: 9 C

Thermal strength: 2-3 knots

Start: 13.30

Finish: 17.30

Cross country: Up to 250-300 km.

Outlook: Monday good still with some overdevelopment - Tuesday blue.

Up to is distance I would expect a good current pilot to achieve in a very good glider e.g. JS1.
