Forecasts available on the day before are usually simply a way for me to generate one more quickly in the morning when I have an early start.

I will be at the Club Class Nationals from tomorrow until 10th August. Forecasts therefore may be issued at different times, and in some cases may not appear at all.

Surface Wind: 280/8 knots

Synopsis: Weak cold front lying Skegness to Plymouth and Newcastle to Cork at midday.

Significant weather: Cu to 5000 feet broadly south of a line Wash to Severn. Increasing top cover and cu tending to overdevelop locally from mid afternoon as the cloudier frontal zone move south.

Temperature: 26 C

Dew point: 12 C

Thermals: 3 knots becoming weaker from mid afternoon.

Cross Country: Cross country should be possible south of a line from Fakenham to Salisbury, keeping an eye out for progress of frontal cloud to the north.

Outlook: Friday a good day but blue broadly north of a line Wash to Severn with cu to 7000 feet to the north of that. Saturday another good day with cu East Midlands and East Anglia.
