The Community
In many ways the Club itself is a Community of gliding enthusiasts. Beyond that we play a part in the local and wider community, with a particular focus on fostering interest in and experience of aviation sports
We visit local schools to give presentations all about the club and gliding and sometimes something a little more unusual!
Our cadets scheme introuduces young people to avaiation and helps them develop vaulable life skills to supplement STEM studies. A significant proportion go on to become professional pilots.
Every year we offer intensive courses for young people sponsored by the Honourable Company of Air Pilots
